Colle Brianza is an old district halfway between the lake of Lecco and Milan. The San Genesio farm holiday accommodation is situated in what was the estate of the famous painter Ennio Morlotti, who created many of his most valued works in that very country residence. Thanks to the passion and determination of the owners, past times have been recaptured with the production of a simple, authentic wine. The new building, which has a wine cellar, restaurant and guest rooms, was designed according to green building criteria by the architect Paolo Rughetto using a combined wood and stone solution. Special focus was placed on choosing materials, external cladding, clay plaster, dry sub-bases and natural distemper paints. The large farmhouse has been completely covered with murogeopietra in a blend of warm, light shades. The colour of the stone is reminiscent of the old stonework and natural terracing, and its large dimensions interpret the architectural detail and rural setting of the premises naturally and authentically.
